Marriage Is A Social Interest

Marriage is a lifelong commitment between two individuals, fostering emotional support, stability, and social unity within families. It has a lot of social benefits and significance to humanity.

Through marriage, the human race continues to exist, propagate, and concatenate until the end of time.

The Glorious Qur'an pointed to this social rationale and human interest by saying: "And Allah has made for you of yourselves spouses, and made for you from your spouses, sons and grandsons" An Nahl vs72.

In Suratu An Nisa vs1, Allah said: "O you mankind, be pious to your Lord, who created you of oneself, and created from it its spouse, and from the two, disseminated many men and women"

Marriage defines ancestral lineage (Pedigree). i.e, but for marriage, which Allah has ordained for mankind, the society would have been swarmed with children of no lineage or honor; a situation that entails dissipating the human dignity, sublime manners, and awful diffusion of corruption and libertinism.

Marriage keeps the society safe from immorality and social disunity, as it satisfies the instinct of inclination to the other sex, marriage facilitates a nation's tendency to to entertain good morals and manners, it also help to communicate the message and fulfill the the duty as Allah wishes them to be.

Nothing is more truthful than what the prophet (PBUH) said to point out the moral rationale of marriage and it's social benefits when he was urging the youth to get married. He said : O youth folk, whoever can marry must marry. Since it'll keep his sight and private parts clean and pure, but those who cannot marry must attend to fasting, since it will control his sexual desires.

Marriage is a means through which a society can maintain safety from the widespread fatal diseases that result from adultery, whoredom, and fornication, such as syphilis, gonorrhea, and other deadly diseases that uproot the lineage, weaken the body, and diffuse epidemic diseases.

Marriage grows amity, love, and intimacy between husband and wife. Allah said: "And of His signs is that He created for you, of yourselves, spouses that you (may) find rest in them, and He has made between you amity and mercy. Surely in that are indeed signs for a people who meditate " Suratu Ar Rum vs21.

Such a psychological and spiritual serenity is a good aid for bringing up children and caring for them.

Through marriage, spouses cooperate for building a family and bearing its responsibility, as each of them is complementary to the other.

So the wife does what is ascribed to her, and what confirms to her feminine nature, by supervising and managing the house chores, and looking after the children. And the husband works within his domain, and does what conforms to his nature and manhood, so he works, toils, and looks after the family. By such cooperation between spouses, a faithful generation and a good offspring would come into being, and the house would entertain love, peace, and stability.

Finally, through marriage, the parent's feelings and sentiments towards the children get burning, and motivate the parents to care for their children and to bring them up properly.

All the above-mentioned social interests stem from marriage. They are closely related to family reformation, child breeding, and raising up generations.
